Working Class Life and Leisure in 1960s Nottingham, with local writer Derrick Buttress, Peter Mortimer (Made in Nottingham) and historian Elain Harwood.

Second half

Readings from contemporary local writers Jon McGregor, Matthew Welton and Nicola Monaghan, who will be responding to Sillitoe’s seminal novel and discussing its influence on their own work.
