The 2016 East Midlands Book Award shortlist has been
announced and our Eve Makis is in the running with her excellent The Spice Box
Letters (reviewed here). The winner of the £1000 prize will be revealed at the
Lowdham Book Festival in June.
The judges: short-story writer and novelist Dan Powell, bookshop
owner and former president of the Booksellers Association Jane Streeter, and
former EMBA winner Alison McQueen.
